Last week, breathless headlines applauded PepsiCo for announcing it was coming out with new larger bags of its popular brands of chips like Tostitos as an antidote to shrinkflation. MrConsumer says not so fast. That story is in Mouse Print* this week.
Like many of you, MrConsumer gets his teeth cleaned by his dentist's hygienist every six months, and has bite-wing x-rays once a year. It turns out that this may not be necessary according to the American Dental Association's most recent guidelines and a study by researchers.
Last week, the Federal Trade Commission finalized its new click-to-cancel rule that is supposed to make it a lot easier to get out of self-renewing subscriptions like for streaming services or gym memberships. Here are details of the new requirements. Most of the provisions will go into effect in about six months.
